The Rededication of the newly restored Angel War Memorial was carried out on Friday 7th May 2010 by the Rt. Revd. David Rossdale, Bishop of Grimsby, in the presence of the Mayor of North Lincolnshire and Consort, together with Armed Forces Veterans, with Standards being provided by the Royal British Legion and representatives of other local Military organisations.

Many local people, some of whom were related to those commemorated on the Monument and who had helped the “Friends” with photographs and memorabilia, which so greatly enhance the Book, also came along to this moving ceremony, which was followed by a Service in the nearby St George’s Parish Church. A DVD of the Rededication and Service was made by a member of a local movie makers’ club in memory of one of the long serving “Friends” who had died earlier in 2010, his 90th year! Six pupils from Crosby School each read out 10 names of those who are inscribed on the Angel.
